This poem came at the right time. I have been struggling with the recent death of my husband. Letting go is soooo difficult. Thank you for reminding me why we are here & the impermanance of it.

What a beautiful poem. Someone in my community is soon to be departing, and your poem was shared on a community thread. Such perfect timing to receive your profound reminder. Thank you 💗

I heard this on Instagram this morning and it really resonated. I thought it was something very old and was surprised to discover it is in fact fairly new. What a beautiful reminder of a simple truth we all forget again and again. This should be read every day upon waking until it sinks in so deeply we live every minute of every day with it in mind. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

I felt the exact same way reading this. Thought it was old. On day 3 of reading it in the morning to start my day.

Thank you, James.

Yes, a good way to start each day.

James. Your poem is a reminder this morning of how great the "internet" can still be. I've been struggling with grief in the passing of my mother (two years ago now) and reading this is a comfort and a reminder of what I'd forgotten at birth, upon entering this world. Thank you.

This poem characterizes my exact experience & understanding of existence. It’s as though you’ve read my thoughts from one to the next & filled the space between them in prose. Thanks for introducing me to those spaces.

Wow! That is powerful and beautiful writing. It emphasizes that the soul is here temporarily having a human experience. Thank you so much for sharing. 🥰

I couldn’t have said it better myself! Thank you! That is exactly how and what I have been musing over lately as well. This gave me exactly the answer to a question I posted on a near death experience.

What a beautiful, incredible poem. This is definitely something we all need to read over and over so we remember to do the best we can while we’re here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️

I heard this at a memorial for a friend. Unbelievably appropriate to the departed friend and to my life. A new great grandson is waking up and finding his soul as a battle scarred grampa is packing to go back. Thank you so much for your insights and instructions.

Aloha James~ if you can find it, a great little book (written in the late 90's I believe) is:; E.T. 101; an emergency manual for those who forgot to read instructions before incarnating on Earth. I particularly enjoyed the redefinitions. May you enjoy the journey as much as possible. Peace

Work of art. Came exactly when I'm trying to navigate the creative world entwined with philosophy. Thanks so much James for filling up the blanks in my mind.

"Memento Mori" but until then... remember we are only a guest. Great read and perspective.
