For now, my world consists of a tight circle of trusted friends and 12-step fellowship; both keep me connected and feeling heard and seen, without having to look too far outside of myself.
I am a creative (painter, writer) and my social battery gets drained pretty quickly these days. Too much outside stimulation and input is draining. I have been making a point to spend the end of my day at the beach, recalibrating my nervous system. I live in Los Angeles. There's A LOT going on outside my door, everyday.
Just what I needed during this particular season for me! I have very few friends, but they feel like a reward. I am not a fan of being around people that feel like an obligation
